For some odd reason the leadership of Memphis City
Schools believes that the more we test the students;
with formative assessments, practice TCAPs, and
all these other ridiculous exams, the better they will
do on the "real" TCAP. Forget the actual learning process
or teaching the kids, just test them. Since when did
education become "doing well on the TCAP"?
(for those who aren't from TN, the TCAP is the statewide
achievement test to measure students against each other)
