For some odd reason the leadership of Memphis City
Schools believes that the more we test the students;
with formative assessments, practice TCAPs, and
all these other ridiculous exams, the better they will
do on the "real" TCAP. Forget the actual learning process
or teaching the kids, just test them. Since when did
education become "doing well on the TCAP"?
(for those who aren't from TN, the TCAP is the statewide
achievement test to measure students against each other)

I'm glad 'Bama and his supporters are so eager to just
spend away the money our children and grandchildren
haven't even earned yet. But how else would he be able
to keep the public poor and needy, so they will rely on the
Government to take care of them. This secures votes,
just make the people dependent on you, and tell them
you will give them things for free that they don't deserve,
and they will cast their vote for the Democrats.

We need some guidance from a TRUE leader, one that has
dealt with this kind of problem and turned it around. One
who has given us hope, and not despair, one who knows
America is resilient and built on firm principles, not one
who wants to change the very foundation of this country.
I just thought everyone should read a little of what Reagan
did and said to turn around the economy he inherited.

Well, Obama and Congress finally got this "stimulus" plan
through. Of course this was done with little input from across
the aisle and without even looking at the bill that was created
by the Republicans. The Republicans bill used HALF the amount
of taxpayer dollars and created TWICE as many jobs, but our
President didn't bother reading it...(nor did he bother to read
the 1,100 page bill he signed into law!?)

Not actually a "David and Goliath" since David losses in this
situation, but thanks to the GIANT spending bill, our children
and children's children can look forward to a huge increase
in taxes and crazy inflation.

So even though we keep being reminded by our President
that "he won the election", it seems that instead of
falling apart and fighting, the GOP is pulling together,
while the Dems are not all on the same page.

The democrats are pulling out all the stops to get
this anti-stimulus plan through congress. Because most
Americans agree that the gov. should spend
335 million on STD prevention, and 460 million on new
cars for federal employees, that's definitely where I
want my tax money going...*sarcasm*

The GOP needs something to help them change the Dems
stimulus plan, or we are headed toward a bleak future.
(*Translation* "I'm from the future...come with me if you
want to live." Just in case some were confused.)

Well I guess this is one of many promises to be broken
by the Obama team. He said he would stop bills full of
earmarks and wasteful spending, but this current
stimulus plan is giving millions to organizations
like MoveOn.org, ACORN, STD prevention, and
more contraceptives. Now explain how this will
stimulate the economy?

With the closing of Guantanamo Bay, our new
leader is going to have to find a place for these
hardened terrorists to go. A place where crime
and corruption is embraced... I think he has
a few ideas.

Even though Bush is no longer President, the far left just
can't let go of the hatred. Now they are on a witch
hunt to try to come up with something to charge
Bush for. Even Obama is trying to look ahead, so
Pelosi and all the others need to concentrate on the
future and not the past.

Obama, Geithner, Browner, and Solis seem like a crack
team to solve our country's problems. The only thing
next is to appoint Bin Laden Sec. of Defense.

I don't know if Obama would even have his illusions
of grandeur if it were not for the medias' love
affair with him and the inauguration.
